We are always looking for additional branches in highschools. Please complete the steps outlined below to start your own branch journey. 

Step 2: 

Contact Vice principal and express interest in starting club. You can use this template:

Hello Mr./Ms. [Vice Principal’s Last Name],  

I hope you're having a great day.

My name is [Your Name], and I’m a [grade level, e.g., freshman]. I’ve recently become involved with a nonprofit organization called Advocacy for the Unhoused, and I believe it would be a meaningful addition to our school community.

I’m interested in starting a branch of Advocacy for the Unhoused as a club here. Could you please let me know what the process is for starting a new club? Feel free to check out the organization’s website at www.hauhelps.org for more information.

Step 3:

Contact Maanya (branch manager) at maanya.shettigar@gmail.com or text her at 508-395-0774 with the vice principal's response. If yes, move on to step 4. 

Step 4: 

• Find a group of 5 people minimum to participate in the club. 

• Find a teacher sponsor/advisor. Since this is a student-run club, the teacher can work in any field.

Congrats. You are now a official branch of our non-profit.
